My Journal, My Relationship, My God.

Ask me anything   Often Christianity is introduced as a religion. But have you ever heard of it as a relationship? You can be religious about going to church and having all the rituals without actually being a Christian. You have to have your heart in it! This is my personal recording of my relationship with God. In any good relationship you talk and listen to each other, and these are some of the things God talks to me about. I hope to inspire others so they too can have: Your Journal, Your Relationship, Your God, because God is for everyone. I would love people to ask questions, so don't be scared, but please be respectful.

Luke 10

Scripture: He said, “That you love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and muscle and intelligence—and that you love your neighbor as well as you do yourself.” ~ Luke 10.27 MSG

Observations:If one must summarize what we must do as Christians, it is this. God is our center of life, all aspects of life should be connected to God. Other people are God’s creations as well, out siblings, and should be treated with love.

Application:We should accept Jesus into our hearts and let him guide us. Through this we will be guided to be like him and to love like him.

Prayer:Lord, forgive me. Forgive me of and help me to fix my impatience and negativity. This things block me from hearing You and thus block me from being like You and loving like You.

Genesis 50

Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid. Do I act for God? Don’t you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now—life for many people. Easy now, you have nothing to fear; I’ll take care of you and your children.” He reassured them, speaking with them heart-to-heart. ~ Genesis 50.19-21 MSG.

Joseph’s brothers were scared that he would be angry with them and seek revenge for the evils they had done to him. Instead, Joseph reminds them he works for God and that God made good come from their evil actions, for Joseph.

Joseph forgave his brothers because he was a follower of God. We need to forgive those who have wronged us, even if it was extremely painful in any way. I need to forgive my mother for her abandonment and abuse. Jospeh also saw the positive instead of concentrating on the negative. Doing so makes life way easier. I need to be more positive. God took Joseph’s hardships and made them into a miracle. When you follow God, God will work miracles out of your troubles. If my mother had never left I would have never found myself and become my own person and might have not heard God when I did. I need to remember this.

God, help me to keep You in my heart always. To remember what You have done for us all.
